A New Community Chapel in West Philadelphia, January 6, 2010
Our West Philadelphia Sisters welcomed the new year in their new community chapel, an extension to their convent that places the chapel at the rear of the house, in the garden, in a quieter and more prayerful setting.
This also allows the room that previously was their chapel to be used as a welcoming area and meeting space for the many groups that meet regularly at the convent for the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, study of St. Paul, Taize prayer, St. Marie Eugenie study, parish Adult Faith Formation, etc.
Why not come by one of these days to pray the Liturgy of the Hours with the Sisters or join them in Eucharistic adoration? We’re sure you’d like the new chapel too.
