What was up at the Assumption Convent in Lansdale last Friday, May 14th?
A group of students and parents from St. Stanislaus Grade School spent the evening with our Sisters as a way of getting to know about religious life and the whys and hows of being a Sister.
The activity was planned by the school's Visioning Committee, composed of parents, teachers and interested parishioners who work to enhance the Catholic identity of the school.
The evening began with a welcoming prayer, followed by some Sisters sharing about the life of women religious. The whole group then watched the movie Bella and discussed their reactions, comments and questions about it. Refreshments came next, of course! There were animated exchanges all throughout the course of the evening. Everyone left with a desire to continue the conversation. What a great way to spend a Friday night!
