CGP Meeting At The Motherhouse, February 1, 2011

From February 1 - 28, 2011 the Sisters responsible for all the provinces of the Religious of the Assumption will be meeting with the General Council at the Motherhouse of the Religious of the Assumption in Paris, France. [This meeting is known as “le CGP” in French, or Conseil Général Plénier – meaning: Plenary (or Expanded) General Council.] This meeting is held every eighteen months.

The CGP will be a time for rereading and evaluating the accomplishments and decisions from the 2009 CGP held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It will also be a time to look to the future and to prepare for the General Chapter of 2012 (for information on what a General Chapter is, please click here).
