Dear Alumnae and Friends,

The PEACE of CHRIST!

You must have heard of the fire that suddenly razed to the ground our Pre-School Department and High School Science Laboratory. It was so sudden and so quick but we need to act fast. The school calendar is set to begin in June. We write to appeal to your generosity knowing especially how much you love San Simon and believe in this mission. Assumpta Technical High School in San Simon is the Assumption Alumnae project for the education of the poor which is directly managed by the Mother Rosa Memorial Foundation. It is on its 40th year now with 1,445 students.

We are writing straight from our Construction Committee meeting here in Pampanga. Assessing our immediate needs, the reconstruction of the Pre-School will cost us Philippine Peso 10 million (US$230,000) inclusive of the basic equipment and fixtures. On the other hand, we need Philippine Peso 5 million (US$115,000) to build an equipped high school science laboratory.

We will appreciate whatever amount you can offer us to start rebuilding soon. Thank you and may God bless all of us in this common endeavour.

Sincerely yours,
Sr. Josefina Maria Magat, r.a
Superior
