Sr. Nha Trang begins her novitiate
We’ve all heard that our God is a “God of Surprises,” but you may still be a bit surprised to find that you’ve landed on this page! After all, religious life – “What? You want to be a nun? Are you nuts??”— isn’t usually considered much of an option these days. You’ve probably considered many good ways to live your life – marriage, children, career, etc. At the same time, you may be also sensing some annoying little tug that won’t let you forget about it, some kind of call, something that you don’t have total control over. Called by God? No question about that: every baptized Christian receives that call along with the water and the oil. But called to what? That’s less clear.
We’ve set up an FAQ page below to try to answer some of the questions you might have about trying your vocation with us in the Assumption. If what you see on this page and throughout our site seems promising to you, we hope you’ll take the next step and get in touch with our Vocation director, Sr. Mary Ann Azanza, at ravocation@hotmail.com. Then you can ask your own questions and get a fuller sense of whether the Assumption might be a good place for you to continue your pilgrimage.
Whether you find what you’re seeking with us or somewhere else, please believe that we hold your search in respect and in prayer. We know that it’s not easy to go “against traffic,” but we also believe that that kind of travel is worth it. (And you might see and hear some marvelous things as you make the trip.)
